Welcome to Killer Coach Academy. We are committed to help building sustainable mountain bikers who want to find their flow and ride for life. After many years as endurance coaches at Killer Coach helping our athletes prepare for races, events and their big goals we’ve come to realize that athletes need more. We’ve created this Academy to coach sustainable mountain bikers with performance-enhancing strategies for body, heart and mind.

As the name implies at Killer Coach we work extremely hard to deliver the most effective training we can. After all, you’ve gotta break yourself down to build yourself up! “What doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger!” For more than 10 years we have been offering time-crunched athletes scientifically based, progressive and individualized plans that provide results. If you’ve made it here, you understand that there is more to life than training. Sure, you have to do the workouts, but are you truly a Sustainable Mountain Biker?

What is a Sustainable Mountain Biker?

Being committed to mountain biking for the long haul is what a sustainable mountain biker is all about. They realize that balance and flow on the mountain bike and in life make them happy. Conversely, injury, illness and time-off the bike make them irritable, mean and downright not-fun to be around. 

Making athletes fit, lean, resilient, tough and happy is our primary objective. Our athletes have been Killing IT at endurance mountain bike events, bike packing adventures, stage races, triathlons and even on vacation adventures with friends. Hard work coupled with the important “special-sauce workouts” we are offering here have brought our athlete’s plenty of success. Besides the traditional cycling workouts, you’ll need strength/coordination, core work, balance, flexibility, mental skills and recovery training to be a sustainable mountain biker.

Unlocking Your Killer Potential:

With the recent rapid growth towards being healthy, fit and enjoying the outdoors as well as the recent boom in mountain biking, now is the time to learn the secrets our KILLER ATHLETES have been using to achieve amazing results. Killer Coach Academy offers this training through coursework, self-assessment and video instruction all delivered in a nice tidy package.

I Just Want to Ride!

You could just choose to ride and we hear all the time “I don’t have time, I’m too busy for all that extra stuff!” You DO have time if you make it your priority. Be proactive in preventing injury, illness, imbalances, setbacks and lackluster performances. No one has time to waste on those things. Let’s Get Started

You may already be including some stretching, naps, massage or foam roller use into your day, and realizing it can all be a little overwhelming. We understand that the first thing to drop off a busy athletes schedule are all of the things that aren’t riding. Making it easy is what we do. With the proper knowledge, self-assessment and PLANNING you can discover what works best for you to supplement your current training. Thus achieving the KILLER results that you’re searching for.

Train smarter, not harder.

Killer Coach Academy

We’ve done the research and testing and divided our courses into small bite-sized pieces. This way you can work these techniques into your already busy day. Just take what you need and put the rest aside for when you are ready to need that too. Begin with one small thing and the rest will fall into place. For example, the stronger your core is by adding a 10 min core session twice a week, the more you’ll look forward to challenging strength/balance workouts. Then you will find that these improvements will translate to laying down more power on that previously soul-crushing climb. Before you know it you will be KILLING every workout and pushing yourself even harder than you dreamed.

Coach Tricia, DPT

With over 25 years of experience as a physical therapist Coach Tricia, DPT is over the revolving door of injuries and illness that could be prevented with the appropriate techniques. Through her work she realizes that bodies do not come with an instruction manual and it is not common for clients to see why one of their parts is not functioning well. Working in healthcare sickcare with injured athletes and non-athletes alike our founder Coach Tricia, DPT is inspired to lead the revolution of health engineering. By teaching people how to prevent injury and illness NOW, many days, weeks and months of healthy living can be protected. Coach Tricia is well-armed and inspired to keep athletes pushing their boundaries without setbacks.

Prevention is Key

Setbacks not only affect fitness and the ability to continue with “training” or being active. These terrible time wasters can affect all aspect of your life including the ability to deal with stress, maintaining amazing relationships, as well as determination and drive to succeed and perform. Injury and illness have a “harsh slap-in-the-face” way of reminding a person just how fragile and complicated overall health and wellness is. 

The body is truly amazing! Let’s treat it with the respect it deserves.

The Academy is Open to All

From pro athlete to the weekend warrior, recovering roadie to long haul bike packer; we do not discriminate here! Don’t yet identify as a mountain biker? That’s ok too. Kudos to you for wanting to start the right way. The best thing about the academy is there are no pre-requisites to attending, no long application process. If you want to ride for life and sustain what sustains you – then WELCOME! We are privileged to be part of your journey and are as committed to continual learning as you are.
